Being a devoted and loving housewife and a mother of two three-year-old boys is not an easy role to play. One normal day of mine usually consists of preparing healthy vegan meals for my family, cleaning and looking after the twins (they are calm and quiet only during our home educational classes and when they are asleep), and taking care of other household chores. It is no wonder that, at the end of a long and exhausting day, after I tuck the boys into bed, I wish for nothing more than several hours of peace and relaxation with my husband or on my own. Believe it or not, my favourite place to unwind is the bathroom.
Yes, that’s right – nothing helps me ease off quite as good as an hour-long bubble bath accompanied by Norah Jones’ gentle jazz tunes. After realizing how precious and life-changing our bathroom is to me, my husband and I decided to replace our slightly damaged and outdated bathware with luxurious and modern bathroom elements. I cannot say that it didn’t cost us a small fortune, but we wouldn’t change a single of our choices, even if we could. The results of our bathroom renovation project were more than pleasing, erasing the very last trace of our money-related concerns.
We had been looking for the right bathroom elements for nearly a month, when we were suddenly seduced by a breathtakingly beautiful stone bathware set. The moment we laid our eyes on the luxurious freestanding bath, the elegant wall-mount basin, and the minimalist and sleek toilet, we knew that our search was finally over and that we must bring the set home with us. So, that’s exactly what we did. The set completely changed our lavatory, as it refreshed and polished its look. It was almost unbelievable how all of us (yes, including the twins) started to enjoy our baths and morning showers much more than we did before the bathroom makeover.
Today, my husband cannot imagine not to put an end to his busy day with a nice, calming bath, whereas our kids perceive the bathtub as another playing ground, no longer refusing to be given a proper and thorough bath. “What about you?”, some of you may ask. Well, I have never been more in love with a bathroom like I am at the moment. This room is my personal bat cave, a place where I can fall to pieces and put myself back together. It is truly what every supermom needs.
